The co-founder of the DeFi platform bZx published a post in which he spoke about the consequences of the recent double hackand about the next steps of the project.
On February 14, bZx was hacked. The hacker took advantage of a system error and managed to withdraw about $350,000. During the second attack, he stole $645,000 in ETH currency.
According to an employee of the aggregator 1inch.exchange, he identified this error a month before the hack, but bZx management did not pay the white hacker a reward and did not inform users about the bug found.
March 9th, co-founder of bZx Kyle Kistner publisheda post on the website called “New Beginning”. In it, Kistner takes full responsibility for the hack. In addition, platform users will not suffer any losses. According to him, "the company and shareholders of the protocol will compensate for the losses."
In order to make the platform morea cyber-resistant company will make a number of changes to the protocol. Kistner argues that these changes will bring more transparency to the process of adding new code and introduce a new system of “oracles”. He also stated:
We will never publish even the smallest part of the code without an audit.
