A quarter of all US investors have already invested in bitcoin

According to a survey conducted by Grayscale Investments, more than 55% of owners of the first cryptocurrency purchased it inover the past year.

26% of American investors already ownbitcoin, according to a Grayscale Investments survey. More than 55% of cryptocurrency holders have purchased it in the last 12 months. 77% of respondents view bitcoin as an investment asset rather than a means of payment.

Online survey was conducted from 12 to 20 August 2021year among 1,000 investors aged 25 to 64, whose investment assets for a family (excluding pension savings and real estate) amount to at least $ 10,000.

About 37% of survey participants said they did notplan to hold cryptocurrency for more than a year, but want to make money on speculation with the asset. More than half of the respondents (55%) adhere to a long-term investment strategy. 20% of survey participants agree with the statement that Bitcoin is a payment instrument.

Bitcoin has become the most popular cryptocurrency among US investors. Also, almost half of them own Ethereum and Dogecoin.

In early November, it became known that almosthalf of millennials in the US (49%) are comfortable investing in digital assets. Among Gen X and Baby Boomers, 37% and 22%, respectively, invest in cryptocurrency.
