A mechanical engineer has developed a piston engine running on water with alcohol

Israeli inventor Yehud Shmueli modernized the design of a traditional piston engine to use a mixture of 70% water and 30% alcohol instead of gasoline or diesel.

According to the engineer, a new system cansimple enough to apply to any existing engine. He also claims that after modernization, the engine can save up to 50% on fuel, works 60% more efficiently due to high torque, and does not emit harmful sulfur and nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere.

MayMaan representatives say engines withelectric drives will not be able to replace diesel ones used in trucks, ships, generators and large equipment, therefore they are confident in the success of their technology.
