According to Crypto Fund Research, in the first 11 months of this year, at least 68 hedge funds specializing in cryptocurrencies ceased operations.
According to the researchers, they’re mostlyserved institutional investors such as family offices, pension funds, and affluent people. 28 such organizations closed in the USA, 23 in Europe, a total of 14 in Asia and the Pacific, and 3 more funds in other areas.

Along with this, the number of cryptocurrency hedge funds launched this year has halved compared to indicator of 2018.
Analysts note that the reduction occurred onAmid an unstable year for cryptocurrencies, when high volatility made them “uncomfortable” for institutional investors. The market is still retail oriented.
At present, Crypto Fund Research researchers have counted a total of 804 crypto funds, of which 355 are hedge funds and 425 are venture funds.
