55% of US investors will buy cryptocurrency by the end of 2020

Financial giant Grayscale surveyed American investors and found that more than half of them are ready toinvest in bitcoin this year.

The company's research says that 55% of those surveyed said they intend to buy BTC in the coming months.

Grayscale analysts drew attention to thatthe fact that compared to the results of a similar survey conducted last year, the number of investors wishing to invest in cryptocurrency has increased by almost 20%. Over the past four months, 38% of financiers have bought bitcoins.

19% of respondents told researchers that they bought bitcoins 7-12 months ago. Among the factors that prompted them to invest in BTC, respondents highlighted the coronavirus pandemic.

Uncertainty caused by the risks to the US economy has forced traders to look for alternative instruments to preserve capital. In this respect, bitcoin turned out to be a more convenient asset.

Over the year, the number of US investors who boughtcryptocurrency, has grown by 11 million to 32 million. Almost half of respondents believe that digital assets will become the most popular tools over the next decade.

Age respondents argue that the main disadvantage of bitcoin is its volatility. It is this factor that keeps them from buying such an asset.

Please note that Grayscale Investmentsrecently reported an increase in the share of cryptocurrency in its portfolio. The total amount of digital assets under the control of this giant reached $7.3 billion in mid-October.
