About half of Russians (41%) are categorically againstreceive your salary in digital rubles. HeadHunter analysts, who surveyed more than 3,000 people, came to this conclusion, Izvestia writes. Among the 11% of respondents who are loyal to the digital ruble, only half are ready to completely switch to the new currency. The rest agreed to receive only half of their salary in the digital version of the ruble.

In January of this year, Otkritie Bank found out thatabout 47% of Russians are ready to use the digital ruble as a means of payment. Another 53% of Russians are neutral about the idea of ​​​​creating a digital version of the national currency (CBDC).

The digital currency of the Central Bank received the greatest supportamong residents of the Northwestern District (55%). But the Russians in St. Petersburg, the Far East and the Southern Federal District are not happy with such an initiative. Here, the idea of ​​creating such a currency was supported by 41% and 42% of citizens, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation is activelyprepares to start testing the digital ruble. The pilot group has already included 12 banks, including Sberbank, Tinkoff Bank and VTB. It is expected that the testing itself will begin in January 2022 and will last until the end of the year. Based on the results of the first stage of testing, a roadmap for the implementation of digital currency will be formed, the Central Bank noted.
