State-owned Chinese banks have deployed more than 3,000 ATMs supporting the function of converting digital yuan into cash and vice versa.
As the news agency reported todayXinhua Industrial and Commercial Bank of China has equipped 3 thousand of its universal ATMs in Beijing with this function, while the Agricultural Bank of China has activated more than 10 e-CNY cashing devices in the business center of the capital, Wangfujing district.
New ATMs will allow customers to easily transfer digital currency into cash and vice versa, as with regularconversion.
State banks have been testing new machines since January 2021, during the period of drawings of gift cards with digital yuan in Shenzhen.
