Bitmain employees stole 10 thousand ASICs from Mongolian mining farm

Bitmain has accused former employees of illegally moving 10,000 Antminer ASICs belonging to a mining farm in Mongolia.

According to the official announcement, in mid-July, employees seized the S17, T17, and S9 series of bitcoin mining equipment. The economic losses of theft were incurred not only by the company, but also by the customers, since some of the appropriated devices were bought and only serviced on the farm, but in fact no longer belonged to the manufacturer.

Bitmain reported the incident to the police and other law enforcement agencies.

The founder of the company Mikri Ketuan Zhang in the Weibo microblog accused his former partner and founder Jihan Wu of involvement in the movement of equipment.

It seems that the power struggle that began last year at Bitmain not only continuesis gaining momentum, but it is also beginning to have a negative impact on the image of the Chinese giant.
