Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak sues YouTube and Google

Video hosting and its parent company Google allowed the placement of fraudulent materials with distributionbitcoins on behalf of Wozniak.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has filed a lawsuit againstYouTube and Google and accused them of admitting fraudulent content on his behalf. Wozniak has become one of 18 plaintiffs who are trying to recover damages from companies and oblige the video hosting service to remove the videos of the Bitcoin distribution, writes CoinDesk.

The plaintiffs noted that Twitter during the largesthacker attack reacted quickly, which helped protect users from fraud. In contrast, YouTube has been hosting, promoting and directly earning money from similar criminal schemes for several months, it said in a statement.

“YouTube offers a constant stream offraudulent videos, which fraudulently use images and videos of the plaintiff Steve Wozniak and other well-known businessmen from the IT industry, which has already caused millions of dollars in damage to users, ”the lawsuit says.

The prosecution claims that in suchthe video, in addition to Wozniak, features Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Michael Dell. The plaintiffs have accompanied the statement with screenshots showing that images and videos of Wozniak are being used to distribute bitcoins live. Users are persuaded to send cryptocurrency to a specific address, and in return they promise to send twice as much.

Apple co-founder believes YouTube and Googleviolate the right to publicly use its image, promote fraud and fail to take the necessary measures to protect users from it. The applicants demand to involve a jury in the trial and to seize from the defendants all the profits obtained illegally.
