The developers have launched the Ethereum 2.0 Medalla testnet

Ethereum developers have launched the “official public multi-client testnet” of the first phase of Ethereum 2.0called Medalla.

It is planned that the Medalla network will hostfinal testing before the launch of Ethereum 2.0. With Medalla, developers will be able to evaluate how Ethereum 2.0 will work with different clients.

According to the official Ethereum Foundation blog, there will be five clients running on the Medalla network: Teku, Prysm, Nimbus, Lodestar and Lighthouse.

The first phase of Ethereum 2.0 may not be launched until early next year. However, if the test results are successful, the update could be launched as early as November this year.

It is worth noting that Ethereum's trading volume and price have increased significantly over the past few months. At the moment, Binance has only 20% less Ether trading volume than BTC.
