Developers prepare fork of Brave browser without ads and BAT token

The BraverBrowser development team has announced that they will release a fork of Brave, which will remove the functionality of the BAT token, as well aswill remove all ads.

After the scandal with making money on referralsredirects Brave CEO apologized to the community and called the redirects a “mistake” that the company will correct. After the incident, a group of enthusiastic developers decided to release an alternative version of the browser.

Decentralized Brave will publish all of its developments on GitHub for verification, like most projects in the crypto space.

This will allow any developer to find the languageautocomplete in the code base. Upon learning of the initiative, Brendan Eich noted that the new team will have to fork out and restart a huge number of services. Their free use will no longer be for them.

That didn't stop the independent team. She has already managed to demonstrate the first test build of the browser without referral links.
