The organizers of the Miami Bitcoin 2023 conference announced a drop in interest in the event

According to the team of organizers of the annual bitcoin conference in Miami, in 2023, less than 50% of the applicants submitted applications for participationthe average number of visitors in previous years.

Last year, more than 35,000 people took part in Miami Bitcoin 2022, according to data from  the conference website.In 2023, the organizers report that future participants bought less than 15,000 tickets: half as many as a year ago.

According to the project team, the decline in interest in the annual conference and the topic of cryptocurrency assets was influenced by the ongoing crypto winter and the aggressively conservative policy of the US government regarding the prospects for regulating the industry.

The current Miami Bitcoin conference will be held inMiami Beach, Florida from May 18 to 20 (fourth event since 2020). Robert Kennedy, Arthur Hayes, Michael Saylor, as well as representatives of about 400 other crypto industry companies have been invited as speakers.

Previously, specialized media reported that venture capitalInvestments in cryptocurrency projects in the state of Florida fell by 92% in the first quarter of the year, while funding for traditional tech startups from Silicon Valley fell by only 53%.
