Which corporations will launch their own cryptocurrencies?

In recent years, the interest of large companies in digital currencies and their capabilities has been growing. More and more financialand technology giants are thinking about using cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

1. Facebook

Facebook has released a white paper of itsthe long-awaited cryptocurrency and blockchain project Libra on June 18 last year. Under pressure from European regulators and the US Congress, the social network had to abandon the project to create a global cryptocurrency backed by a basket of fiat currencies, but Libra continues to evolve. The developers are now focusing on creating several stable currencies backed by the currencies of different countries.

2. JPMorgan

The largest US bank was preparing to launch a pilotversions of the JPM Coin cryptocurrency by the end of 2019. The bank's stablecoin was intended to reduce the cost and speed up interbank transfers. However, the project has not yet been implemented, and one of its leaders – Oli Harris – moved to the Goldman Sachs team.

3. Goldman Sachs

The bank is currently considering cooperation with other companies, including JPMorgan and Facebook.

Japan's largest financial group began testing its own stablecoin Mufg Coin back in 2018. The Japanese giant is preparing to launch a yen-pegged stablecoin by the end of this year.

5. Sberbank

The largest Russian state bank alreadyis preparing to take advantage of the new opportunities of cryptocurrency legislation and release its own stablecoin pegged to the ruble. At the moment, there is no more detailed data on the future cryptocurrency of the Russian bank.
