Iran will allocate for bitcoin mining from power plant

On the application of the Thermal Power Plant Holding Company (TTPH), the company intends to offerthe energy of three electricity is exclusive for the extraction of bitcoins.

According to local news agency TehranTimes, the country's power plants received benefits and subsidies from the government for the supply of fuel, but until July they were forbidden to use the energy they produce for the supply of fuel.

In July, Iran officially legalized cryptocurrency mining for organizations licensed from the Ministry of Industry, City of Mining and Industry.

Now, the mining facilities can no longer be used for subsidies, but they operate in accordance with certain taps, established for the respondents.

Also, as explained by the director of TTPH MoxsenTapztalab, the company will start selling electricity to bitcoin miners at three electric power stations Ramin, Neka and Shahid Montazepi, where it has already been installed.

According to him, in the near future the auction documents will be posted on the website SetadIran.ir. The new direction of activity will open up stable sources of supply for the power industry of Iran.

Three Iranian electric power plants will use their turbodetectors only for BTC extraction, so the load on the national network is disabled.
