Gaming giant Wemade launched a crypto wallet

A subsidiary blockchain company of the South Korean gaming giant Wemade, called Wemade Tree, announced the long-awaited launcha crypto wallet and traders that allow users to store and exchange digital assets, game currencies and non-exchangeable tokens (NFT).

The firm has declared that its new solution will allowfor gamers “buy digital assets while playing games on the basis of Wemix”, and also use digital assets in games or exchange them in transfers with other games.

Wemade Tree General Director Shane Kimhe said that the wallet is a user-friendly interface for the Wemix platform, which provides a decentralized exchange and functionality for the marketplace.

«Ultimately, Wemix will develop intoa comprehensive platform on which not only Wemix games will be presented, but also other decentralized applications from other categories. We expect the Wemix wallet to be used by all customers, not just gamers,” added Kim.

In addition, the company announced that they are planningUpdate your platform by adding the Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) function to it for game developers. NFT became a hot topic in South Korea when one game developer was refused to issue a license due to use in an NFT game.

The state organisation confirms that, since NFT can be exchanged for cryptocurrency in blockchain networks, they cannot be adapted for general release in the game.

At the same time, large South Korean companies, such as Samsung, are already engaging in partnership with NFT projects.
