On CNN, Ruchir Sharma, head of Morgan Stanley's emerging markets division, admittedgigantic potential of bitcoin.

He noted that older investors still hold the view that gold is the best asset. The younger generation is betting on cryptocurrencies and, first of all, on bitcoin.

The top manager connects the growing interest of young people in cryptocurrencies with inflationary risks, which continue to increase.

We will most likely see a surge in inflation in the United States as early as 2021, Sharma said. After that, not only the dollar is expected to fall, but also the rest of the leading fiat currencies.

Sharma said:

«Central banks are printing large amounts of money, which is forcing [investors] to look for alternative assets».

According to a Morgan Stanley spokesperson, eachan investor can invest about 5% of his capital in gold, and this will be the right strategy. However, we are already seeing young people abandoning the precious metal in favor of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Note that the investment bank Morgan Stanley is studyingBitcoin over the past few years. At the end of 2018, analysts from this financial giant published a report in which they called BTC an institutional asset.
