A package of bills was submitted to the State Duma for consideration, obliging Russians to report to the Federal Tax Service on movementsaccording to their foreign electronicwallets, including cryptocurrency wallets. Violations of the rules will be punished with fines. This initiative was put forward by the deputies from the Fair Russia party.

The bill obliges Russians to submittax authorities reports on money transfers via e-wallets. We are talking about cases when the amount of transactions for the reporting year exceeds 600 thousand rubles or an analogue of this amount in another currency.

For violation of the terms for providing data tothe tax service is planning to introduce a warning or an administrative fine from 300 rubles to 3 thousand rubles, and if the tax authorities fail to notify such a movement of funds, a fine of 20% to 40% of the transferred funds is threatened.

Why the state should regulate the cryptocurrency market, said one of the developers of the bill, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market Igor Divinsky.

"It's not that the state wants to regulate everything, it's the state that needs to regulate everything!- said the deputy.

After all, if it does not regulate, then this or that activity does not fallunder the law, and there are a lot of problems, including with electronic payments."

He added that electronic payments are not yet regulated by current legislation, and the new bill will fill the gaps.
