The court found the former head of the department for combating drug trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Khakassia guilty in a number of crimes for bribes in the form of cryptocurrency.

According to the State Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia, Yuri Zaitsev received a bribe in the form of bitcoins in the amount of 52 thousand rubles for such assistance.

By a court decision, he was sentenced to eight years in prison, fined 156 thousand rubles, banned from holding administrative positions for the next 4 years and stripped of the rank of police lieutenant colonel.
