The BitOK team of analysts reported the discovery of crypto addresses associated with the activities of Valeria Fedyakina, accused of fraud and known under the nickname Bitmama, as well as her partners.
Through two cryptocurrency accounts associated with Fedyakina and her probable partners, a number of transactions were carried out that attracted the attention of experts.
Outgoing transactions showed intentthe sender not only hides the original source of receipts, but also complicates the tracking procedure by splitting the funds. Some small amounts ended up in various deposit addresses of cryptocurrency exchanges, including Binance, Bybit and HTX (formerly Huobi). The rest, having gone through a chain of depersonalization using cryptocurrency mixers, ended up at an address that belongs to a temporarily unidentified service.
The total volume of assets that have passed through twoaddresses, amounted to about $139 million. According to BitOK analysts, approximately 20% of the total volume of assets received in wallets could be associated with the accounts of the Russian crypto exchange Garantex.
Market participants say thatBitmama guaranteed clients the reliability of cryptocurrency exchange procedures, and also offered a favorable rate and a high percentage for placing funds: “Exchange 100 units, get 100+1 as a gift.”
Media close to law enforcement reported that Valeria Fedyakina was detained on September 15
in Moscow on suspicion of fraud amounting to 6.7 billion rubles.
