According to the Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance (CCAF), the United States has pushed Chinaposition of the leader in bitcoin hashrate.
The US accounts for 35, CCAF estimates.4% of total hashrate – 42.7 EH/s. During the third quarter, the total market share of American miners doubled – last quarter they accounted for 17% of hashrate.
However, the United States was not alone in benefiting from China's repression.The hashrate of mining farms in Kazakhstan also doubled in the third quarter. Now it reaches 22 EH / s or 18.1% of the total bitcoin hash rate. Miners who were forced to move from China most often moved their capacities to Kazakhstan.
Russia and Canada now rank third and fourth in the world with 11.2% and 9.6% respectively.
CCAF analysts relied on information provided by four pools: BTC.com, Poolin, ViaBTC and Foundry USA. The total hashrate of these pools – 62 EH/s or 44% of the total Bitcoin hashrate.
